John Keble Church is based in Mill Hill, a suburb in North London. We a Church of England church and part of the Diocese of London, with links across the world as part of the Anglican Communion.

There has been a church on the site since 1932, with the current building dating from 1936. Our church building is an iconic modernist space.

We are a church which values worship and welcome, which wants to witness and to grow. We long to flourish as a parish.

Worship – we tell of God’s excellency together, and meet God in all his beauty, holiness and love. Worship has always been important at John Keble Church. Together we “proclaim the excellencies of him who called us out of darkness into his marvellous light.” 1 Peter 2:9 Together we glorify God through meeting together; speaking and singing of his greatness in word and sacrament. As we continue to worship God we want to be both united and diverse in our worship. United in the gospel, but diverse in our various expressions of worship.

Welcome – we want to be a church which is open to all, in which everyone has a place. We are all different, and as a church we want to celebrate our diversity, just as in heaven God is worshipped by ‘a great multitude that no one could count from every nation, tribe, people and language’ Revelation 7:9 . Whether it is our age, ethnicity, education, wealth or background we want everyone to be a full part of what we do as a church. To this end we want to be proactive in welcoming newcomers and make sure that we are outward looking.

Growth we want to be a growing church. We want to grow in the number of worshippers. We also want to grow in our capacity to serve our area, and in Christian maturity, so that we are able to be effective disciples of Jesus Christ. ‘Speaking the truth in love we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. ’ Ephesians 4:15

Witness – making the invisible God visible through actions and words is important to us. In the way that we treat each other , the way we use our building and the way that we serve our community we want to point people towards God. The practical love we show others and the way we use our resources points to God: we want our church to make a difference to our area. ‘No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us’ 1 John 4:12
