Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

We conduct baptisms, weddings and funerals for all who live in the parish, even if they do not attend church. To find out if you live in John Keble parish, put your postcode into this website:

Baptisms – Baptisms (also called Christenings) take place during our Sunday service at 10am. They are a great way to welcome children into the church as well as entrusting them to God to grow up knowing him. If you would like to celebrate God’s gift of a child but don’t think a baptism is for you, we also offer an act of Thanksgiving as an alternative. If you would like to have your child baptised, come along on a Sunday and speak to the Vicar, Simon. We also baptise teenagers and adults who have made a commitment to following Jesus Christ. There is no charge for baptisms.

Weddings – We conduct weddings for all who live in the parish, those who have worshipped with us for six months and those with a family connection. Weddings at John Keble reflect the two people who are getting married, as well as including the traditional church vows and a reading from the Bible. If you are interested in getting married at John Keble Church, come along on a Sunday to talk with the Vicar and he will make an appointment to visit and discuss further.

Funerals – We provide funerals for all in our parish or those with a connection with the church.
